Twin Lakes vs Wix
Wix is a good tool. The question is whether you want a tool or a finished website. This is the honest version of the difference.
When Wix is the right call
If you enjoy building things, have a spare weekend or three, and want to tweak your own site at 11pm, Wix is a fair choice. The editor is friendly, the templates are decent, and for a hobby or a side project the free tier is enough to start.
When Twin Lakes is the right call
If the website is a job you'd rather hand to someone, if you want it to look like it was designed for your business rather than assembled from a template, or if you'd like bookings and ordering without paying for apps on top of the plan, we're the simpler path. You see a working draft before you pay anything.

Wix shows lower promotional prices to new customers from time to time; the figures above are the standard rates. Business Elite and monthly billing weren't published in Australian dollars at the time of checking.
- Light: A$21 a month. Two gigabytes of storage, no bookings or selling.
- Core: A$42 a month. Adds basic online selling and scheduling.
- Business: A$55 a month. Standard ecommerce and scheduling, 100 GB storage.
- Business Elite: more again; Wix lists it alongside the others on its plans page.
- Free: A$0, with Wix ads and a Wix web address, no custom domain.
- A domain is free for the first year on yearly plans, then renews at Wix's rate. Many booking, restaurant and marketing apps carry their own monthly fees.

Switching
Moving from Wix
Moving from Wix means a rebuild, because Wix doesn't let a site leave. We do it from your current site and your content, keep your domain, and set up redirects so Google doesn't lose your pages. You keep the Wix site running until the new one is live.
Straight answers
I've already paid for a year of Wix. Should I wait?
See the draft first; it's free. If it's better, run both until your Wix year ends, or switch early if the new site is winning you work. There's no upfront cost on our side either way.
Can you work inside my Wix site instead?
No. We build and host our own sites so we can promise the speed, the hosting location and the changes. Working inside someone else's editor would mean promising less.
Will my Google ranking drop if I move?
Not if the move is done properly: same domain, redirects from every old page to its new home, and a site that loads faster than the one it replaces. We do all three.
