Twin Lakes Studio is run by Nick Pratley from Budgewoi, at the northern end of the Central Coast. We build websites, booking systems and apps for the businesses around us, for one monthly price and nothing upfront.
Why Twin Lakes
Budgewoi sits on a narrow strip of land between Budgewoi Lake and Lake Munmorah. Our logo is the real outline of those two lakes, traced from the map, with the town as the dot between them. It's a reminder of who the work is for: the cafes, tradies, salons and clinics within a short drive of here, who've been quoted thousands for a website and told to wait six weeks.
Why $79 a month and nothing upfront
Agencies charge big upfront fees because they bill for time, and a small business site takes them a lot of it. We've built the tooling to do the job in days instead of weeks, so we don't need to charge for the build. We charge for keeping your site live, fast, backed up and current, and we only keep getting paid if you're happy enough to stay. That's the right way round.
It also means you see a working draft before you commit to anything. If it's not right, you've lost nothing.
Who's behind it
I'm Nick. I live in Budgewoi and I've spent my career building software and networks for organisations much larger than the ones around here, through my company The IT Dept. Twin Lakes is me turning that experience toward the people down the road, and doing the work myself. You deal with one person, and that person picks up the phone.
How we work
Plain English, always. A working draft within 24 hours of hearing from you. Your domain registered in your name from day one. Hosting in Australia, so your customers' details stay here and the site loads fast for the people who actually visit. Month to month, cancel any time, and after 12 months you can take the code with you.
